About the Artist
Alise-Ann (aka thesilverwolf on the internets) is a 21 year old University student at University of Toronto. She is in her fourth year doing a double major in Studio Art and History. She hopes to one day make a living from her art, perhaps illustrating children's books or doing graphic novels. She is currently living in Toronto.
The overarching themes in Alise's work include gender, sexuality, everyday life as a student/young adult, internet lols, geek culture, alternative lifestyles, consumerism and sarcasm. In each piece she tries to transfer her cynical sense of humour and bluntness while embracing a love for colour.
Alise is proficient in most mediums, but prefers acrylic paint, water colour, charcoal, markers, coloured pencil and Adobe Photoshop.
